Tweets earthquake: TL of February 27, 2010

First of all, although it sounds tacky, I can not say that this meant a special effort on my part and I did it with gusto.
The following work was born out of simple concern to know what it was that was published on the Twitter social network in times of earthquake in Chile on February 27, 2010. From this, we performed a search on certain keywords in Google Realtime Search, a tool that records tweets (1) , in order to find, collect this information and expose it. Then characteristics are made known the result then exposed.
Search and considerations
As already mentioned at the beginning, the search was conducted through Google Realtime Search. This was carried out considering tweets containing keywords (specified below) between 3.34 and 3:50 a.m. the day of the earthquake, with no specific criteria for choosing the time interval of about 16 minutes, rather than considering the information generated close temporarily, the moment the quake and, of course, related to him and the experiences of the authors (feelings, problems connectivity, etc.).. Some tweets were also considered as part of discussions under other that appeared and cast after the 3:50 a.m., and that perhaps best illustrate the event in this network. In the latter case, the criterion collection focused on the consequences of the earthquake, as the tsunami and alerts, first aid requirements and the destruction, as well as some reflections. The search keywords were selected to merely intuitive. A related an earthquake: Trembling, shaking, trembling, earthquake, moving and strong. And otras, expresiones que dejan ver la emoción del momento para algunos y que deben ser consideradas, a pesar de ser mal vistas por otros y que se cree bien especificar, ya que fueron parte de la búsqueda: Weon, wn, conchesumadre, CSM y CTM.
Recolección
Los tweets que se iban encontrando se fueron marcando como favoritos. Después de esto, Twitter los dejó reunidos automáticamente en el orden en que fueron publicados, teniendo así una visión exacta desde el más cercano a las 3:34am hasta el último en el tramo horario antes especificado. Google has deleted tweets log generated by accounts that no longer exist today or have their tweets protected, why in the end, is attached directly capture these kinds of results generated by the search engine. In this case, the tweets containing the Chilean local time correctly.
Analysis and comments
earthquake TL: As may be clear, the search result, assembly and order of the tweets, shows a timeline (timeline, TL) of the moments of earthquake. This, of course, is not definitive. Many tweets protected or not containing the key words could be omitted. But anyway you can make an interesting analysis from this: The closest tweet when the quake, was released from one province to the epicenter of the disaster, Ñuble (by José Tomás Albornoz (@ elJOjo) at 3:34 a.m. from Chillán). As time passes, read tweets from elsewhere in Chile. Then Argentina (specifically one of Cordoba, @ JorgeMudry, at 3:38 a.m. and that accounts for the perception of motion in the district of Nueva Córdoba ('NVA cba', as he writes)) and several minutes later, at 3:44 a.m., it may sound risky, there are reports of a movement in Venezuela, by @ MaytheGuedes. is, the immediacy that professes Twitter, tweets left to see how advanced the pace of the shock wave from the earthquake.

This capture cmcgato, blogger, has the great merit of having been taken at the time of the earthquake. TL is ordered as a normal, showing the newest tweet up, according to the oldest, down. This image contains the tweet of @ elJOjo, closest to the time of the earthquake that could be found and one of the bot @ horachile, indicating that it's already 3:35 a.m..
Another record similar to the one presented here is one taken by @ rramirezm, with the same credit for having been collected at the time of the earthquake, through another screenshot .
journalist Miguel Paz in turn, focused on the experiences described by Carlos Fernández Villablanca, @ SkatCharlie, from Matanzas, Región de O'Higgins, collecting the tweets that the latter had his tragic experience with the tsunami .
